Information requirements for SAP Calculations and EPCs can be broken down into two parts depending on the stage of the project.
SAP calculations are required at warrant stage to allow compliance with the standards to be demonstrated. Information requirements are as follows:-
- Site layout
- General arrangement drawings
- Details
- Specification
- Date of warrant application
Often some of the detailed specification will require to be informed by the SAP calculations and is generally supplied in terms of performance specification.
EPCs, which are required at completion, are generally produced from the same source as the SAP calculations. However there is a very distinct requirement at completion for the EPC as it should reflect the dwelling as built. Consequently it is necessary to have the as built specification confirmed prior to producing an official EPC.
