BDME Information

Information requirements prior to testing will depend on whether BDME has been involved with SAP calculations for building warrant or if the client requirement is only for air testing services. If the warrant work has been undertaken then there will be sufficient information available to prepare for the test and calculate a maximum testing figure on site.

If there is no prior project knowledge and client's simply wish an air test to be undertaken then the following information will require to be provided:-

Site address information
General arrangement drawings [CAD / DWG files]
Confirmation of design air permeability
Confirmation of maximum test result / air permeability
Copy of the SAP calculation provided at warrant stage

Testing involves data prep / travel / testing / reporting / certification. For the test to be valid it is necessary to calculate the dwelling / building envelope areas and volumes which should be known before travelling to site to undertake the test.
